The Monadnock Farm and Community Coalition (MFCC), the Monadnock Food Co-op, and Monadnock Table Magazine have joined forces to develop a “Local STAR Restaurant” campaign in our region. The goal of the marketing campaign is to connect the public with the finest farm-to-fork dining experiences in our region, as well as infuse much-needed income into the pockets of local farmers.

Farm to table dining has become the hallmark of communities that support local agriculture, providing rich culinary experiences using fresh, more flavorful ingredients frequently grown in sustainable and ethical ways.

“We are committed to incentivizing Monadnock restaurants to source from local farms who offer a wide variety of products that are fresh and healthy, thoughtfully grown, and that enrich our economy,” said Roe-Ann Tasoulas, MFCC director. “Please show these restaurants and our farms your love by dining with them throughout the year.”

A Monadnock Food STAR Restaurant sources from at least four Monadnock Region farms monthly through the growing and harvest seasons, and at least twice during the winter months. Selected restaurants receive a free toolkit of materials — window decals, logos for menus, and for use on social media platforms, and a 1/2 page ad in the Monadnock Table Magazine Summer edition. They also receive year round social media postings and promotions in MFCC’s monthly newsletter.
